Pattern or androgenetic alopecia is a genetically predetermined disorder due to excessive response of hair follicles receptors to androgens. As a result of this response, a process of progressive miniaturization of the hair follicle starts.
Clinically this is manifested as progressive thinning f terminal hair of the scalp , in a characteristic distribution in both males and females. In males, hair loss is most prominent in the vertex and frontotemporal regions, forming an M shape of the frontal line.
Hair loss recently occurs in patients that are very young, in their 20s. But, when we apply scalp threading in the early stages of hair loss, we can achieve complete hair regrowth.
